Background and Approach

Milo approaches clients with honesty, humor, and connection. Born and raised in Texas, his social justice and social work background fuels his passion for working with clients who feel burnout from systematic oppression, and traditional expectations of what success and fulfillment means. Milo utilizes a psychodynamic lens, systems theory, attachment theory, queer theory, and trauma-informed practices to walk with his clients through life’s challenges. Milo is a passionate advocate and loves to cheer on his collaborators, coworkers, and clients with strong support.  Milo draws techniques from modalities such as narrative therapy, exposure and response prevention, trauma-informed CBT, motivational interviewing, and a strong emphasis on building community. He comes into session with a willingness to learn and grow with his client’s and to offer genuine support and care.

Milo holds a master’s degree in social work and received specialized training in LGBTQ+ mental health, family therapy work, and OCD treatment. In addition, Milo has a history working in case management and community mental health in rural areas. He has worked in a variety of settings including schools, non-profits, hospitals, IOP,  and juvenile court settings.
